In March, my aunt had a new baby. His name is Oscar and he is my first cousin.

The day after he was born, my parents took me to the hospital to meet him. He was very small and very wrinkly. He had dark hair and tiny fingers.

My aunt let me hold him for a few minutes. I was nervous in case I dropped him, so I sat down and held him very carefully. He slept the whole time.

A new baby changes everything in a family. My aunt and uncle look very tired. Oscar wakes up several times during the night and needs to be fed every few hours.

But they also look very happy. My uncle says he cannot believe how much he loves someone he has only known for a few days.

I visit Oscar every two weeks. He is changing very fast. Now he smiles and reacts to sounds. Every time I see him, he seems different.

Sta cambiando molto in fretta. Ora sorride e reagisce ai suoni. Ogni volta che lo vedo, sembra diverso.
