I love being in the kitchen. My grandmother says cooking is an important skill for life.
Last weekend, she taught me how to make pancakes. We used flour, eggs, milk, and a little butter. I mixed everything in a bowl until it was smooth.
Then my grandmother poured some batter into the frying pan. After a minute, small bubbles appeared on the surface. That meant it was time to flip the pancake. I tried to flip it myself. The first one went wrong and folded in half. The second one was perfect.
We made twelve pancakes. We ate them with lemon juice and sugar. They were delicious.
I also know how to make a salad, boil an egg, and cook pasta. My mum says that is already quite good for someone my age.
Cooking is fun because at the end you have something real to eat and share.
