Last Saturday, my family went to the circus. It was my first time and I did not know what to expect.
The big tent was enormous and red and yellow. Inside, there were rows of seats all around a circular performance area.
The first act was the clowns. They wore funny clothes and big shoes. They did silly things and everyone laughed. One clown fell over twelve times. I counted.
Then came the acrobats. They climbed ropes and jumped from platform to platform. They did incredible things in the air. I held my breath several times because it looked so dangerous.
After the interval, there were horses. They ran around the ring with performers standing on their backs. The performers waved and smiled as if it were perfectly easy.
The last act was the juggler. He juggled seven balls at the same time. The audience counted loudly: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven!
It was the most exciting show I have ever seen.
