I have spent two weekends researching. I found books in the library and looked at information on trusted websites.
Ancient Egypt lasted for over three thousand years. The Egyptians built enormous pyramids as tombs for their rulers, who were called pharaohs. The Great Pyramid at Giza is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one still standing.
The Egyptians also developed one of the earliest writing systems, called hieroglyphics. Each symbol represented a word or a sound.
I made a poster with drawings and facts. I drew the pyramids and the Sphinx and the River Nile. My mum helped me make the writing look neat.
I am going to present my project to the class on Friday. I am a little nervous but I know my subject well.
