My mum is one of the most important people in my life. Her name is Laura and she is forty-three years old.
She has brown hair and green eyes. She is not very tall but she has a big personality. She is funny and kind and sometimes quite strict.
She works as a nurse at the local hospital. She works long shifts and sometimes comes home very tired. But she never complains.
When I am ill, she always knows exactly what to do. She takes my temperature, gives me medicine, and makes me warm soup. She sits with me and reads to me if I cannot sleep.
She also helps me with school. If I have a difficult piece of homework, we sit at the kitchen table together and work through it.
She is interested in everything. She likes books, music, gardening, and cooking. She is always learning something new.
I hope I am a bit like her when I grow up.
